BLOG 16 November 19th lunar eclipse 19/11/2021 RAMESH S KRISHNA Introduction: A lunar eclipse will happen when moon enters earth's shadow. It would happen when we have a full moon . This is more like a transit method which helps us to find a exoplanet.  I'll tell you in detail about solar eclipse when it happens! So, stay tuned with by blog page! While a full moon is raising, it would be red. How does a lunar eclipse happen?: I've mentioned only for a lunar eclipse. Do not confuse with a solar eclipse. A lunar eclipse happen when moon enter's earth's shadow. There are 2 shadows of earth.  Penumbra:  Its the lighter & 1st part of the shadow. It generally happens in the edges of earth[while its evening in the point]. Light entering earth's atmosphere would scatter & go to deep space. The light which goes is blue in color. Umbra: It is the darkest part of shadow. Its the place where moon turns red. It will be late in the night at the location of Umbra. Ty...

September Equinox By Ramesh S Krishna What's an Equinox? The equinox happens when the earth passes through Sun's geomagnetic center. An equinox happens twice a year around March 20 & September 22. The movement of the sun directly passes on the Equator.  On September 22,  the day and night will be almost equal in most locations. September Equinox.[Northern hemisphere]   Say goodbye to summer: Yeah, Say bye-bye to Summer in Northern Hemisphere. Now the Fall[Autumn] Starts today. Then on December Solstice, Autumn ends, Winter starts!  Welcome Back Spring![Southern hemisphere] In the Southern hemisphere, spring[vernal] begins! Astronomers consider it as the 1st day of spring in the Southern hemisphere. Some Amazing Facts: In 2021, the Sun will cross the celestial equator from north to south on September 22, at 19:21  UTC . Because of  time zone  differences, the equinox will take place on September 23, 2021, at locations that are at least 4:30 ho...

Facts about Natural satellite + 1 Bonus

Image
Facts about our moon By Ramesh S Krishna Check out the picture of today's beautiful moon at the end. Moon is the only permanent natural Satellite from earth's formation (though there are various theories to contradict it). It is about 1-quarter of the size of the earth and It's the largest of all inner planets' satellites. It's the 5th largest satellite in the solar system just after Ganymede, Titan, Callisto,  IO. Facts: More humans visited the Moon than the people who touched the surface of Marina Trench The earthquakes also happen on the moon but with a different name: Moonquakes Moon's surface is actually dark There's water on the moon Apollo 17 was the last manned mission to the moon The next set of  humans could land on the moon with  the SLS rocket in the mission ARTEMIS USA went to the moon to win the SPACE RACE & successfully landed. The Soviet Union also made a rocket which is named N1. But all the 4-launches were big failures.  In the sky,...

Then it disappeared below the Horizon. The timing I spotted it was around 9:56AM IST.  First, when I spotted it, I thought it was a cloud shaped thing like a comet. Though I did some research on it, I couldn't know what it was. I sent it to my Favorite Priyadarshan Sir. He did research on it  & said it was the comet 'C/2020 T2'. This is how it looked. After reading this, You would also think to spot the comet. So here are the steps to spot a comet. Keep regularly checking Stargazing apps & Websites Look at the sky accordingly Take a photo if at all you spot something strange. Research on it A comet may appear in any direction & any time Thanks for reading! Please keep supporting me and share it with others.                         ...

Fire in STARBASE

Image
Fire in STARBASE By Ramesh S Krishna Boca chica ( better known as STARBASE) is a large area that belongs to SpaceX. It was a dirt field 2 years back. Now SpaceX has colonized it, but still there is plenty of unused land. The fire occured near the launch table[Stage 0].  Would it affect the 1st starship and superheavy launch? Hopefully, it wouldn't be, as the fire is a bit away from the launch table. Image credit: Labparde Even though it's near Stage 0's  Fuel Farm, its tough for the wind to destroy Stage 0's vital equipment for launch.  Awsome info about Starship's launches! Elon replied: Thank you! Please share this with everybody & Keep me supporting!                                                       😊😊😊😊😊😊
