Things happening in space...

                            JWST's latest photo

  • USA's president, Joe biden revealed the 1st coloured photo from JWST, Today
  • This photo covers less than a  grain in the Universe
  • On 12th July, NASA will release the other images like this
  • This is just 12 1/2 hours of exposure time whereas an image like this took 11 days for Hubble
  • You can see the curve in this image, it is because of the light passing through objects & getting curved
In images like this, if more galaxies come into the image, it will add even  more galaxies. Let me explain.

According to the European astronomers Albert Einstein, GRAVITY CURVES LIGHT.
Just like that, it happens here too! When a galaxy appears, it also curves & passes the object behind it!

Also, all the images are not in real-time. Yes.

The speed of light is about 300000 KMPH. So, it does take time to reach us. This same thing happens here too! The light from the galaxies started their journeys a long time back, but since the universe is expanding & also the light takes time, it just reached us. This means, if you were on a planet about 77-Million light-years away, you could see Dinosaurs roaming this Planet.

                                 COMET K2

This is a comet much like others, having a hyperbolic orbit that orbits the sun. This comet makes a close approach to Earth this July. The luminosity peaks on July 14th. This comet is really large about twice the size of Mt. Everest. K2 reaches its perigee on Dec 19. It is most likely not visible to naked eye in urban skies & having a slim chance to spot it in rural skies{Magnitude +7}. This magnitude is much like Uranus's. While being in perigee, it is 2.5 AUs away from Earth. So, don't miss this opportunity.
You can see it in the evenings once the Sun sets.

Bye for now!!
See you guys soon in my next blog!!
