Mars moon conjunction:


After 1.5 months of appearance, mars will have a conjunction with moon for the second time. To see this you have to wake up early. Face east. There you can spot a  thin C shaped moon near a reddish dot[Mars].

Super new moon


The first New moon of 2022. The word ‘SUPER’ in this comes from, PERIGEE of the moon’s orbit. It is the closest point of the moon’s orbit.

Comet Leonard at perihelion

Quadrantids meteoroid shower


This annual shower happens on the night of 3rd Jan & 4th’s early hours. Its radiant originates from the Bootes constellation. The best time to view it is 5.00 AM by 4th Jan LOCAL TIME.

Don’t worry. It is a normal thing. As all planets orbit the sun, the planets move. So, venus would be hidden in the sun’s glare for a short period of time.

It will dock at the docking port of the Zvezda module , where previously the PIRS module was docked. The PIRS was undocked and re-entered the atmosphere of earth on July 26th, 2021 and after spending 7252 days docked to the station. After the undocking of PIRS and before Nauka’s docking , the robotic arm went and connected with the arm of the Zarya module and checked the port on which PIRS was docked. There were concerns that the astronauts should go for an EVA and check the docking port but the port looked perfect so they didn’t go for an EVA.  Wh...

Snow moon

Snow Moon February's full moon is also known as the Snow Moon. Every full moon has its special name. February's one is the snow moon. Why snow moon? Simple! Since winter is going on and it is snowing in most parts of the earth.  More on this: Sunday, 13th of Feb/2022.  I came to my grandparent's place, my friend Nishanth had also come there. I was pleasantly surprised when I came to know that he was also an astronomy buff! I went down to bring my Astromaster 70AZ. Meanwhile, he too joined me.  So, we started to stargaze. First, we had a gorgeous view of the moon. We spent about a quarter of an hour looking at its beauty! Then, I gave him an idea to look at the winter constellations, like Orion, Taurus. Crew-2 return

  Crew-2 return  By Ramesh S Krishna Introduction: Crew-2 is a mission to ISS on dragon funded by NASA. Dragon is a space-craft designed by SPACEX.  It took a crew of 4 - Shane kinbrough , Megan Mcathur , Akihiko hoside  & Thomas pesquet.   Mission:   This mission was launched on 23rd April at 9:42 pm  from Kennedy space center[KSC]. It docked with HARMONY forward docking port. The dragon used on this mission was 'Endeavor' with has the same name of a SPACE SHUTTLE. The mission duration is 198 & 15 secs. It can  change as weather or some other thing could change it. Space-craft properties : Rocket: Falcon 9 Space-craft name: Dragon.
