10-8-2021STARGAZING   By Ramesh S Krishna Today was a special evening because I  did a lot of Star gazing! What made it even more interesting was that I had my buddies on a video call with me! 1. Venus, Mars and  Moon conjunction .  It appeared in the west just after the sunset. Venus was very bright and the  Waxing crescent babymoon was a delight to watch. Mars was very dim because later this month it is going to be hidden. I was not able to take a photo of mars because it was not visible.  Myself and my buddy took this picture. 2. Spotting of ISS[International space station]. I spotted it with the help of spotthestation.nasa.gov. You can open the website and enter your city. Then it will show a timetable, Follow it and you can spot the station. Today it was a beautiful sight to watch because today was a 7minute pass.It passed from the Northeast to the southeast direction. In this blog and my following blogs, we will be going through the interesting happenings in the world of Astronomy and rocketry. Please keep supporting me. Thanks Trouble in ISS Nauka’s docking problem   By Ramesh S Krishna Nauka is a Module launched by Russia in a proton rocket on the 21st of July 2021. It’s an MLM  [Multipurpose Laboratory module]. It will dock at the docking port of the Zvezda module , where previously the PIRS module was docked. The PIRS was undocked and re-entered the atmosphere of earth on July 26th, 2021 and after spending 7252 days docked to the station. After the undocking of PIRS and before Nauka’s docking , the robotic arm went and connected with the arm of the Zarya module and checked the port on which PIRS was docked. There were concerns that the astronauts should go for an EVA and check the docking port but the port looked perfect so they didn’t go for an EVA.  Wh...
